Work of the AIDA pixel telescope continues to make the facility more useful for the detectors that are developed for the upgraded LHC experiments.

The PH Linear Collider Detector group (PH-LCD) was the first user of the new AIDA beam telescope in August, taking data with silicon pixel-detector prototypes under development for a future vertex detector.

The 18th International Symposium on Very High Energy Cosmic Ray Interactions (ISVHECRI) took place at CERN, from 18 to 22 August 2014. 

The workshop on Exact Results in SUSY Gauge Theories in Various Dimensions brought together leading experts in supersymmetric gauge theories from many universities and laboratories around the world. 

On 3rd September 2014, four ALICE physicists received the prestigious Lise Meitner Prize 2014 from the European Physics Society for their outstanding contributions to the development of heavy ion physics.

 

 After a week of shifts on the T9 beamline at CERN, the two winning teams of the "Beamline for schools" are ready to analyse their data.
