Editorial - July 2014
Dear Colleagues,
while the preparation for the Run 2 of the LHC experiments is progressing at full steam, the analysis of the Run 1 data has advanced on many fronts, as presented at the ICHEP conference in Valencia at the beginning of this month. Beyond the LHC, CERN has a rich and diverse physics program. In this issue, we give a hint of the potential enrichment of such diversity with a description of the ELENA upgrade of the Antiproton Decelerator, and the proposed beam-dump experiment at the SPS, named SHiP. Other articles include reports on Knowledge Transfer activities, recent evacuation exercises in LHC experiment pits, and much more.
Enjoy the reading and I wish you a good summer.
