LHCb experiment

New LHC results presented at EPS-HEP 2017

In July, more than 700 physicists gathered in Venice to discuss the latest developments in the field of particle physics at EPS 2017, one of the most important international conferences of the field.

New data from B decays recorded in the LHCb experiment challenge lepton universality.  

A wealth of new results from the LHC experiments was presented in the 52 edition of the Moriond conference. 

Wealth of new results in Quark Matter 2017

Last month, the LHC experiment collaborations presented their latest results at the Quark Matter 2017 conference on how matter behaved in the very early moments of the universe.

The LHCb collaboration recently published in Nature Physics the first evidence for the violation of the CP symmetry in baryon decays.

LHCb searches for CP violation

LΗCb has been performing many accurate measurements of CP-violating asymmetries in processes involving beauty- and charm-hadron decays to determine whether they are consistent with the CKM mechanism or whether new physics should be invoked to explain them.

Thanks to the outstanding performances of the LHC, the experiments presented a wealth of new results in ICHEP2016.

LHC Restart 2016

Following the 2016 restart of the LHC, we have asked the run coordinators of the four largest LHC experiments — ALICE, ATLAS, CMS and LHCb — to share a few words with us about the first data taking. Their broad physics programme will be complemented by the measurements of three smaller experiments (TOTEM, LHCf and MoEDAL) and may hold the key to new physics.
